Therapy Intensives in Kirkland, WA and Online across Washington
Stop Treading Water. Start Moving Forward.
Why Intensives Work Better for Neurodivergent Brains
You’ve been in therapy before. You talk for 50 minutes, you finally hit the "good stuff" in the last ten, and then... the timer goes off. You spend the rest of the week trying to hold onto those insights while life keeps coming at you.
It feels like trying to build a house one brick a week in a rainstorm. You aren’t broken, but you are exhausted by the slow pace of traditional healing.
If you are Autistic, ADHD, or otherwise neurodivergent, you’ve likely found that "standard" therapy can feel like a chore. The constant transitions, the small talk, and the pressure to "get somewhere" in 50 minutes can lead to masking rather than healing.
Intensives are designed to work with your brain’s natural wiring, not against it.
Curious if an intensive is the right fit for your journey? I offer a free 20-minute consultation (available both in-person or online) to answer your questions and ensure this approach aligns with your goals.

A Dedicated Space for Deep Transformation
Therapy intensives are different. Instead of snippets of time, we take a deep dive. By dedicatedly focusing on your internal world without the "start-stop" of weekly sessions, we can bypass the surface-level chatter and get straight to the roots.
Neurodiversity Friendly: This isn't about fitting you into a "typical" box. Our sessions are sensory-aware, direct, and honor the way your specific brain processes the world. No masking required. Shoes are optional, fidgets encouraged and eye contacts never expected!
My approach is built on three pillars designed to honor your unique brain and body:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): We help your brain file away distressing memories so they no longer "fire" in the present.
IFS (Internal Family Systems): We get to know the different "parts" of you, the protectors, the critics, and the wounded ones, to create internal harmony.
The Body Trust® Lens: We move away from "fixing" your body and toward listening to it. This is a weight-inclusive, liberation-focused framework that treats your body as a partner, not an enemy.
Imagine the Relief of a Breakthrough
Picture what it would feel like to finally process that "stuck" belief or soothe that chronic anxiety in a single morning rather than over six months.
In an intensive, we have the luxury of time to:
Process trauma without the rush.
Deepen the connection between your mind and your physical sensations.
Leave with a concrete sense of integration and "lightness" that sticks.
Choose the Depth That Fits Your Life
Ready to do the work? Choose the intensive package that aligns with your current goals:
The Reset (1-Day Intensive)
Best for: Navigating a specific recent trigger, "fine-tuning" previous trauma work, or addressing a single, persistent belief.
This focused container allows us to do the heavy lifting that usually takes 2 months of weekly therapy. We target one specific area and move it from "stuck" to "processed."
Pre-Intensive (90 min): Mapping your internal system (IFS) and identifying the target(s) for EMDR.
The Intensive (3 hours): A deep, uninterrupted dive into processing and healing.
Post-Intensive (60 min): A follow-up to ground your insights and plan for continued serenity.
WEEKDAY COST: $1,584
WEEKEND COST: $1,980
The Deep Dive (2-Day Intensive)
Best for: Processing complex history, untangling long-standing patterns, or moving through deep-seated "protector" parts that need more time to feel safe.
Spreading our work over two days allows your nervous system to "sleep on it", a powerful part of the EMDR and IFS process. We have the space to peel back multiple layers without feeling rushed.
Pre-Intensive (90 min): Thorough preparation, resourcing, and clinical goal-setting.
The Intensives (Two 3-hour sessions): Significant time for deep processing across two separate days.
Post-Intensive (60 min): Integration and "future-pacing" to carry your new perspective forward.
WEEKDAY COST: $2,448
WEEKEND COST: $3,060
The Transformation (3-Day Intensive)
Best for: Significant life transitions, complex trauma (C-PTSD), or those seeking a total nervous system overhaul in a neurodiversity-affirming container.
This is the ultimate gift of time and space for yourself. Over three days, we create a profound "interrupt" to your old ways, allowing for deep IFS parts-work and extensive EMDR processing that creates lasting, foundational change.
Pre-Intensive (90 min): Comprehensive assessment and creating a safe "container" for our three days together.
The Intensives (Three 3-hour sessions): Maximum immersion. Three separate days of focused, deep-tissue emotional work.
Post-Intensive (60 min): A final session to bridge the gap between this intensive work and your long-term wellness.
WEEKDAY COST: $3,312
WEEKEND COST: $4,140

Availability & Logistics
Because of the deep, focused nature of intensives, I only offer a limited number of these sessions each month. This ensures I can bring my full presence and energy to our work together.
Where and When We Can Meet:
Tuesdays (Online): Experience your intensive from the comfort of your own safe space. Online intensives are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. This is often the most accessible option for neurodivergent clients who prefer their own sensory-controlled environment.
One Weekend Per Month (In-Person): For those who prefer a physical shift in environment to mark their transformation, I offer limited in-person intensives one weekend a month in my office Kirkland. These sessions provide a dedicated container away from the distractions of daily life.
Note: Weekend dates tend to book out 4–6 weeks in advance. If you have a specific date in mind, I recommend reaching out early to secure your spot
Therapy Intensives FAQs
Q: Is 3 hours too much? I’m worried about burning out.
A: It’s a common concern! Unlike a "marathon" that leaves you depleted, an intensive is designed to be a deep dive with oxygen. We don't go at a frantic pace; we go at a focused one. Because we aren't rushing to fit everything into 50 minutes, we actually have more time for grounding, sensory breaks, and "checking in" with your system. We move at the speed of your nervous system, not the clock.
Q: How do EMDR and IFS work together in this format?
A: Think of IFS (Internal Family Systems) as the map and EMDR as the vehicle.
We use IFS to identify the "parts" of you that are hurting or protective.
We use EMDR to process the heavy emotional charges those parts are carrying. Doing this in an intensive allows us to stay with a "part" until it truly feels seen and relieved, rather than leaving it "open" until next week.Think of IFS (Internal Family Systems) as the map and EMDR as the vehicle.
Q: What is the difference between an 'intensive' and a regular EMDR or IFS session?
A: The main difference is the absence of transitions. In a regular, 50-minute weekly session, you have to do a lot of "stopping and starting." You arrive, we check in, you "warm up" to the trauma memory or the internal part we are focusing on, and before we can reach a deep level of integration or resolution, we have about ten minutes left and have to ground you to leave. An intensive removes the rush. We can stay in the work for hours at a time, allowing for much more profound, uninterrupted processing that often leads to faster, more lasting results.
Q: As a neurodivergent person, will this be overstimulating?
A: Traditional therapy can actually be more overstimulating because of the constant transitions (arriving, warming up, cooling down, leaving). Intensives allow you to settle into a flow state. We can adjust lighting, incorporate fidgets, or take silent breaks. You don’t have to "perform" therapy; you just have to be you.
Q: Is an intensive more effective than six months of weekly therapy?
A: While "effective" depends on your specific goals, research and clinical experience show that intensives can compress months of healing into a few hours. In weekly therapy, we often spend the first 15 minutes checking in on your week and the last 10 minutes grounding you to leave. That leaves only about 25 minutes of "deep work." In a 3-hour intensive, we eliminate those constant transitions. This allows us to stay in the "processing zone" longer, which often leads to faster symptom relief and a more profound sense of closure on specific traumas. It’s an investment of time and resources upfront that often saves you months (or even years) of "maintenance" therapy later.
Q: Who are therapy intensives NOT ideal for?
A: While intensives are powerful, they aren't the right fit for everyone at every moment. An intensive might not be the best choice if you are currently in a state of high-crisis (e.g., active suicidality or psychosis) or if you are not yet stable in your grounding skills. These sessions require a significant amount of emotional energy, and a solid baseline of stability is needed to safely process difficult history. During our free 20-minute Fit Call, we will discuss your stability and ensure that a 3-hour processing container is the safest option for you right now. If it isn't, we can discuss alternative, smaller structures.
